UWMC EITC Access program overview

The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) benefit is for working (full or part-time) families making less than $50,000 a year. Your tax refund can be up to $5,751 per year, based on family size and income, but you MUST FILE a 2011 Tax Return.

EITC does not count as income for TANF, Food Stamps, SSI, Medicaid or public housing.

All returns require W-2, 1099, Social Security, Unemployment, Self-Employment or other benefit statements and documents verifying taxes withheld in 2011. Social security and photo ID required.

The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is the largest anti-poverty measure in our nation. Last year, UWMC volunteer tax preparers generated over $50,000 in refunds for low to moderate income working individuals and families, allowing them to make pivotal investments; pay off debt, invest in education, and secure decent housing. By volunteering you can help thousands of working Monmouth County individuals and families on the road to financial stability.
