Day of Caring
United Way regularly organizes Day of Caring events and activities for area businesses.
Our recent Days of Caring included:
Keller-Williams Realty of West Monmouth celebrated their office’s “Red Day” by organizing a team to beautify YMCA of Western Monmouth County. Team Red under the coordination of Dana Cadena spent the day planting flowers and making the building look inviting to all the children and families who visit the YMCA for services.
Comcast Cable needed a project that could be accomplished inside their location. Tying into the United Way engagement strategy of “Education,” they coordinated a corporate book drive for children’s books throughout the month of June. Once collected, the employees spent hours packaging the books into drawstring bags, and more than 100 bags of books were donated to United Way of Monmouth County.
In the heat of a July morning, Team Ansell, Zaro, Grimm and Aaron law firm from Ocean Township took on the task of outdoor work on The Arc of Monmouth facility in Tinton Falls. Michael Ansell assembled a crew that rotated through the morning and afternoon to weed, cut, trim and wash windows on the large school facility.
Group projects make an impact on your community! United Way of Monmouth County Volunteer Center was created to help link volunteers to agencies in need of resources. Whether an indoor or outdoor project, a one-day or year round event, we can help you find the volunteer opportunity that is right for you.
